We therefore recommend that you read through this Privacy Policy from time to time.
This Privacy Policy informs you about the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data within our online offering and the associated websites, functions, and content (hereinafter jointly referred to as the “Online Offering” or “Website”).
With regard to the terms used, such as “personal data” or its “processing,” we refer to the definitions in Art. 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data Collection and Processing
You can visit our site without providing any personal information. GDPR, especially for audience measurement, collection of access data, and use of third-party services).
We would like to point out that the legal basis for consent is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a. and Art. 7 GDPR, the legal basis for processing for the performance of our services and the execution of contractual measures is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b. Third countries are countries in which the GDPR is not directly applicable law, i.e., generally countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area. The transfer of data to third countries occurs either when an adequate level of data protection is present, user consent has been given, or if another legal permission exists.

The storage is based on our legitimate interests, as well as the user’s interest in protection against misuse and other unauthorized use. This data will only be passed on to third parties if there is a legal obligation to do so in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c GDPR or on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR in the economic and effective operation of our business.
6. Collection of General Information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet Service Provider, and similar. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the content of websites requested by you and is mandatory when using the internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us to optimize our internet presence and the underlying technology.
7. Cookies
Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data, such as IP address, browser used, operating system, and your connection to the internet.
Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable the correct display of our websites.
Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or a link to personal data be established without your consent.
Of course, you can fundamentally view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via the settings of your browser. Please use the help functions of your internet browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.
8. SSL Encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption procedures (e.g., SSL) via HTTPS corresponding to the current state of the art.
9. Contact Form
When contacting us (via contact form), the user’s information is processed for the purpose of handling the contact request and its processing in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. If you contact us by email or via the contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions.
10. Newsletter
With the newsletter, we inform you about us and our offers. If you would like to receive the newsletter, we require a valid email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected. This data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.
When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of registration. This storage serves solely as proof in the event that a third party misuses an email address and registers for the newsletter without the knowledge of the authorized party. You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. The revocation can be done via a link in the newsletters themselves or by sending a message to the contact options listed above.
11. Deletion or Blocking of Data
We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data minimization. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes mentioned here or as required by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose ceases to apply or these periods expire, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.
12. Integration of Third-Party Services and Content
Within our Online Offering, based on our legitimate interests (i.e., interest in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our Online Offering within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR), we use content or service offerings from third-party providers to integrate their content and services, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter uniformly referred to as “Content”). This always requires that the Third-Party Providers of this Content perceive the IP address of the users, since without the IP address they would not be able to send the Content to their browser. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of this Content. We endeavor to only use Content whose respective providers only use the IP address for the delivery of the Content. Third-Party Providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as “web beacons”) for statistical or marketing purposes. The “pixel tags” can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information can also be stored in cookies on the user’s device and can contain, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, visit time, and other information about the use of our Online Offering, and can also be linked to such information from other sources.
The following overview provides a list of Third-Party Providers and their Content, along with links to their privacy policies, which contain further information on data processing and, in some cases, objection options (so-called opt-out), which are already mentioned here:
Use of Piwik (Matomo) This website uses Piwik, an open-source software for the statistical evaluation of visitor access. Piwik uses so-called “cookies,” text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Internet offering is stored on a server in Germany. The IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before it is stored. You have the option to prevent the installation of cookies by changing the setting of your browser software. We point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can decide whether a unique web analysis cookie may be stored in your browser to enable the website operator to collect and analyze various statistical data.
Use of Script Libraries (Google Webfonts) In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Webfonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Webfonts or prevents access, content is displayed in a standard font. Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – but currently unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that operators of corresponding libraries collect data. You can find the privacy policy of the library operator Google here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
Use of Google Maps This website uses the Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes, and uses data about the use of the map functions by visitors. You can find more detailed information about data processing by Google in the Google data protection notices. There you can also change your personal data protection settings in the data protection center. Detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.
YouTube This website uses plug-ins to display and play videos from the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland Data can also be transmitted to: Google LLC., USA If you call up a page of our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the provider in order to load the plug-in. Certain information, including your IP address, is transmitted to the provider. If the embedded videos are played via the plug-in, the provider also uses cookies to collect information about user behavior, compile playback statistics and prevent abusive behavior. If you are logged into a user account from the provider during your page visit, your data will be directly assigned to your account when you click on a video. If you do not want data to be allocated to your account, you must log out before pushing the play button. All of the aforementioned processing, in particular the setting of cookies for reading information on the end device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by disabling this service via the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website. In the case of data transmission to the USA, the provider has signed up to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
Publication of Job Advertisements / Online Job Applications Your application data is collected and processed electronically by us for the purpose of handling the application process. If your application is followed by the conclusion of an employment contract, your transmitted data can be stored in your personnel file by us for the purpose of the usual organizational and administrative process, in compliance with the relevant legal regulations. The data transmitted by you will be automatically deleted two months after notification of the rejection of your job application. This does not apply if longer storage is necessary due to legal requirements (for example, the burden of proof under the General Equal Treatment Act) or if you have expressly consented to longer storage in our database of interested parties.
Microsoft Clarity “We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first-party and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.”

To ensure that a restriction of data can be taken into account at all times, this data must be kept in a lock file for control purposes.
